In order to test products used in salt corrosion areas, the salt spray test chamber simulates the corrosion and damage effect of atmospheric salt spray on equipment, which is mainly caused by various salts in it. The spray, usually in the form of a mist or ultra-fine mist, creates an environment that accelerates corrosion.
Applicable materials:
● Phosphating surface followed by paint, primer, lacquer or anti-rust agent.
● Zinc and zinc alloy, electroplating chrome, nickel, copper, tin.
● Non-electrolytic coatings, such as zinc flake coatings
● Organic coatings, paint coatings
The current typical neutral salt spray test (NSS Test) method cannot fully simulate the real natural conditions of the product in the marine environment. The development trend of the salt spray test method is from continuous constant temperature salt spray test to cyclic salt spray test. Many countries have adopted multifunctional cyclic corrosion test, namely CCT (Cyclic Corrosion Test). The CCT test chamber is controlled by a programmable program, which can set a multi-step test program and complete the test in one chamber. This cyclic salt spray test method can more realistically simulate the marine environment. It is a test method that combines salt spray test, dry heat test, damp heat test and low temperature test. The marine natural environment can achieve better experimental results.
